How did Hollywood, California get its name?
The name, Hollywood, came from the wife of Harvey Henderson Wilcox, who was a real estate developer in the 1800s. Daeida
Wilcox went on a trip and she met a woman on the train whose home was named after a Dutch settlement called "Hollywood."
When she came back home, she gave that name to her and her husband's ranch.
