I lived there for twenty years and have many memories. I recall the forge behind Kingree's Store which is a story all its own. Men would gather in the seating area and watch the bacon grease splatter from its cast iron skillet. It was always filled with jokes as they ate. Many of my relatives also lived there and Rohrer Seed was started by my grandfather. I can recall the layout and who lived where despite its many changes. Sadly, it is not the same town.

One question I can't find out is why the name? On the sign at the boundary, it says it was named for three Indians smoking a peace pie. Which indians and why there?
