john pinkney dellinger had two businesses in lattimore. one was the pink mfg company that made jute bagging and the other was the verner cottonseed oil company. it was named for his dtr, Verner. He named the "Pink" mfg company after himself. Pink Dellinger moved to Cherryville in 1907 and died in 1921. He was my husband's grandfather. Do you have any photos or information on his businesses? He also had a son, Graham, who maybe had a mercantile store in the area. He also operated the Ellis Ferry at one time. I have seen a photo of Pink, his wife and son, Blaine, on the ferry.
